Role Overview

Lead complex capital, facilities, electrical, mechanical, and critical infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout.

Serve as the technical authority and primary accountable owner for assigned projects in high-impact operational environments.

Project Leadership and Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery from feasibility and design through commissioning and closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and risk.
  • Develop execution plans, schedules, cost controls, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Drive disciplined change management, including scope validation, pricing review, and approvals.

Technical Oversight

  • Provide technical leadership for electrical distribution, power upgrades, switchgear, generators, UPS, lighting, and controls.
  • Oversee mechanical systems including HVAC, AHUs, chillers, boilers, piping, and controls.
  • Review designs, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for accuracy and constructability.
  • Support commissioning, testing, turnover, and operations and maintenance documentation.

Contractor and Vendor Management

  • Lead RFP development, bid evaluation, scope leveling, and contract award recommendations.
  • Manage general contractors, prime contractors, consultants, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Conduct site meetings, progress reviews, and issue-resolution sessions.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on technical and delivery matters.
  • Report project status, risks, decisions, and financial performance to stakeholders and executives.
  • Coordinate facilities, engineering, operations, finance, safety, and leadership teams.

Financial, Schedule, and PMO Controls

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, commitments, invoices, change orders, and forecast-to-complete accuracy.
  • Maintain project schedules using MS Project and analyze impacts and recovery options.
  • Maintain project documentation, risk logs, schedules, and financial records in PMO systems.
  • Support audits, lessons learned, continuous improvement, and PMO standards.
  • Mentor junior project managers.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of project management experience delivering electrical and mechanical construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems and independent evaluation of design and construction decisions.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects in occupied facilities, mission-critical, or capital environments.
  • Experience with construction contracts, change management, cost controls, schedule management, and contractor coordination.
  • Proficiency with Smartsheet, Kahua or similar tools, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
