The Spa Therapist provides holistic treatments, including massages, facial and body treatments, and other wellness services.
The role supports guest satisfaction, luxury spa quality standards, and departmental financial targets.
Guest Treatments and Service
- Perform all spa and wellness treatments available at the spa according to standards.
- Welcome guests, determine their needs, and recommend suitable treatments and massage therapies.
- Explain spa programs, treatments, and available products to guests.
- Promote spa and body-care products and provide complete product knowledge.
- Maintain treatment rooms in full readiness before each treatment.
Records and Standards
- Maintain accurate records of treatments and products used for repeat guests.
- Maintain client demographic information, medical histories, and appointment records.
- Follow hygiene and sterilization standards required by law and spa policies.
- Meet or exceed customer expectations and departmental financial performance targets.
- Report unusual incidents, complaints, unauthorized persons, damaged property, and lost-and-found items.
Team and Hotel Duties
- Attend ongoing training and internal spa meetings and continue developing professional skills.
- Follow hotel policies covering fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
- Communicate effectively, work as part of a team, and assist other departments when requested.
- Participate in the department's multi-skilling approach and respond to changes in spa operations.
Experience and Education
- Hold a certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Have two years of experience in a similar position in a five-star hotel.
- Be physically fit for the position.
- Have knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Required Capabilities
- Demonstrate time management, strong written and verbal communication, and customer service orientation.
- Be highly organized and proactive and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate presentation, problem solving, decision making, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrate initiative, commitment to achievement, attention to detail, and customer focus.
- People management experience is listed as a qualification.
