Sourcing Manager

Role Overview

Sourcing and Product Development

• Lead sourcing across accessories and lifestyle products, focusing on China, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
• Identify and develop relationships with factories, manufacturers, and ODM suppliers.
• Manage product development through prototypes, sampling, revisions, approvals, and production.
• Assess feasibility, manufacturing constraints, timelines, technical requirements, materials, finishes, and construction.

Commercial and Supplier Management

• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
• Challenge suppliers on cost, quality, specifications, timelines, and proposed solutions.
• Build the supplier network through factory visits and supplier reviews.
• Coordinate with the Hong Kong agent, quality partners, factories, and internal stakeholders.

Market and Range Development

• Contribute to model, colorway, material, and gift-set selections.
• Monitor competitors, market developments, materials, and emerging product opportunities.
• Support seasonal ranges and identify new product categories and suppliers.
• Maintain sourcing and product development documentation.

Quality and Delivery

• Ensure products meet relevant quality, certification, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor sourcing timelines, costs, quality, and production progress and address risks or delays.
• Support development and scaling of a commercially viable accessories supply base.

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on sourcing experience in Asia, particularly China, Vietnam, or Cambodia.
• Proven experience managing factories and/or ODM suppliers.
• Product development experience covering prototypes, sampling, and supplier coordination.
• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, feasibility, production constraints, lead times, and certification requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Strong negotiation skills covering pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, and product specifications.
• Understanding of trends, materials, finishes, market opportunities, and product direction.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, autonomy, and organization.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Asia for factory and supplier visits.
• The candidate must currently be based in the UAE.

Preferred Experience

• Retail, fashion, sportswear, lifestyle, accessories, or consumer products experience is preferred but not essential.
• Experience across multiple product categories, international brands, sourcing offices, or ODM/OEM environments is advantageous.
• Existing supplier relationships and experience with Hong Kong-based sourcing or quality partners are advantageous.
• Commercial understanding of costing, margins, range planning, and seasonal collections is advantageous.
