Production Manager - Joinery

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Oversee workshop operations, production schedules, manpower, machinery, resources, and production staff.
• Review drawings, specifications, material schedules, and project requirements before production.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, supplier, subcontractor, and site teams.
• Manage procurement, production progress, costs, material wastage, deadlines, risks, and delays.
• Maintain quality-control procedures and inspect joinery before dispatch and delivery.
• Coordinate transportation, installation, finishing, snagging, and resolution of technical site issues.
• Improve production methods, workflow, buildability, value engineering, and workshop efficiency.
• Maintain machinery and facilities, ensure safe operation, and comply with HSE requirements.
• Provide senior management with updates on production status, manpower, quality issues, and potential delays.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant joinery or carpentry experience, including significant UAE experience.
• Proven experience managing a commercial joinery workshop and installation teams.
• Strong technical understanding of custom joinery, bespoke furniture, interior woodwork, materials, hardware, finishes, and construction methods.
• Experience interpreting shop drawings, production drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Experience managing production schedules, manpower, workshop capacity, quality control, fit-out coordination, deadlines, costs, and material wastage.
• Strong leadership, people-management, communication, coordination, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• UAE experience is essential.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree, diploma, or technical qualification is preferred.

Preferred background

• Experience with established UAE joinery, interior fit-out, bespoke furniture, or architectural woodworking companies is preferred.
• Experience delivering joinery for high-end residential, hospitality, retail, food and beverage, office, hotel, luxury interior, or large commercial projects is particularly relevant.
