Role Overview
AW Connect is recruiting a hands-on Lead SRE or Technology Operations professional for a Dubai-based digital asset business preparing to launch a regulated platform.
The role owns production infrastructure, reliability, incident response, and technology operations in a regulated environment.
This is a hands-on role rather than a position focused entirely on management.
What You’ll Do
- Own production cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, monitoring, and observability.
- Own backup and restore, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Manage IAM/PAM, access controls, and privileged access workflows.
- Coordinate with outsourced CISO, SOC, and security partners.
- Manage vulnerability remediation and penetration-test findings.
- Maintain security and operational controls and audit evidence.
- Support wallet and custody operations and related technology controls where required.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 6 years of hands-on SRE, DevOps, DevSecOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in fintech, banking, brokerage, exchange, or another regulated or audited environment.
- Strong production experience with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong IAM/PAM and CI/CD knowledge.
- Proven experience managing production incidents and conducting root-cause analysis.
- Experience with disaster recovery, RTO/RPO, and tested backup and restore processes.
- Experience working with an outsourced CISO, SOC, or managed security provider.
- Experience with vulnerability management and penetration-test remediation.
- Comfort owning technical documentation and audit or control evidence.
Digital Assets Experience
- Experience with crypto, digital assets, custody or wallet operations, Fireblocks, BitGo, blockchain infrastructure, or KYT is a strong advantage but not essential.
- Candidates from regulated banking, fintech, brokerage, or financial infrastructure backgrounds will also be considered.
Working Profile
The successful candidate has personally owned production infrastructure and been the person called when systems fail.
The role is part of a small, senior technology function at launch stage with direct exposure to the Group CTO and ownership of the assigned area.
