Software Engineer III - Java Full Stack

Role Overview

What You’ll Do

• Architect, design, build, test, and deploy solutions at scale.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across geographies and contribute to the technology community.
• Work with Product Management and business stakeholders to prioritize and deliver product features.
• Research, evaluate, and pilot open-source tools for product delivery.
• Develop features that enable customer analytics at Walmart scale.
• Deploy and monitor products on cloud platforms.
• Create monitoring processes that help data applications meet SLAs.

What You’ll Bring

• Bring 2.5–6 years of web-based application development experience.
• Demonstrate current expertise building enterprise-grade web applications.
• Be proficient with React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Have end-to-end full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, RESTful services, APIs, and related frameworks.
• Have a strong hands-on technical background and the ability to mentor technical talent.
• Work effectively with globally distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related area and two years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, have four years of experience in software engineering or a related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail experience is a strong plus.
• Security, networking, GISF, GSEC, CISSP, or CCSP certification is preferred.
• A related master’s degree is preferred.
