Job Description Summary

Code, unit test, and build high-performance, scalable applications serving millions of Walmart International customers.

The applications support supply chain management and customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Code, unit test, and build high-performance, scalable applications for Walmart International customers.
  • Develop applications supporting supply chain management and customer experience.
  • Work with Java, multithreading, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to develop robust, high-performance, scalable applications.
  • Maintain intellectual curiosity about the technology and business domain.
  • Mentor highly capable individual technical contributors.

What You'll Bring

  • At least three years of experience with Java J2EE technologies, distributed systems, and large-scale application development and design.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka and Cassandra.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of RESTful web services, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL technologies such as Oracle and Kafka.
  • Experience with a containerization technology and microservices.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and two years of software engineering experience, or four years of software engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related area.
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.

Work Location

  • The role is based in the Chennai office for daily work.
