Senior Supervisor - Buses and Maritime Transport Monitoring

Job Purpose

Strategy and Planning

• Contribute to annual monitoring and inspection plans and submit them to the department manager.
• Study field inspection team requirements to improve departmental efficiency.
• Monitor the provision and improvement of inspection equipment and procedures.
• Prepare monthly and campaign inspection plans and monitor implementation.

Field Operations

• Ensure supervisors and inspectors maintain proper appearance and comply with official attire requirements.
• Supervise the efficiency of public transport in coordination with relevant parties at outlets and event locations.
• Issue daily reports covering field inspections across bus and maritime activities.
• Inspect transport users and operators and issue violations in accordance with RTA regulations.
• Conduct field control at buses, maritime transport means, docks, schools, rental facilities, tourist facilities, and international bus facilities.
• Monitor permits, safety and environmental compliance, bus services, and observations, and coordinate during accidents or breakdowns.
• Monitor taxis, limousines, hourly rental vehicles, and illegal transportation activities in the passenger transport section.

Service and Improvement

• Respond to inquiries, provide departmental information, resolve issues, and handle complaints.
• Supervise approved training programmes and submit related reports.
• Generate weekly statistics and monthly reports covering results, obstacles, and recommendations.
• Attend committee meetings and fulfil assigned responsibilities.

Working Conditions

• This is a highly site-based role with frequent site inspections.

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma or Bachelor's Degree is required.
• At least 5 years of related experience is required for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 9 years of related experience is required for candidates with a diploma.
