Consultant - Information Technology Audit

Job Description

Strategy Responsibilities

• Research and share knowledge on emerging technologies and IT audit best practices.
• Deliver training, coaching, and knowledge transfer for Internal Audit staff.
• Participate in internal committees and teams supporting IT audit activities.
• Represent Internal Audit in external assessments, benchmarking forums, and awards.
• Support co-sourcing through RFPs, vendor evaluations, and Statements of Work for IT audit engagements.

Operations Responsibilities

• Assess digital technology governance against international best practices.
• Evaluate internal controls in digital technology and information environments.
• Perform internal audit work across technical systems, applications, infrastructure, projects, and cyber security.
• Review technology governance policies and advise organizational units on digital auditing and controls.
• Provide expertise on government technology-control and audit reports and the appropriateness of responses.
• Improve Internal Audit technical systems and support the wider department.
• Implement risk-based smart audit plans covering technical systems, services, and automated processes.
• Follow up with organizational units to close approved internal audit recommendations.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
• Experience requirement is 5+ years with a PhD, 9+ years with a master's degree, or 11+ years with a bachelor's degree.

Certifications

• Certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor, ITIL, or Certified Information Systems Auditor are listed.

Technical Competencies

• Audit methodologies, quality and excellence, reporting, risk management, and internal control.
• Global Internal Audit Standards, information technology, and cyber security and privacy.
