Role Overview
Provide technical ownership for complex MEP packages across design, tender, construction, and handover stages.
Work with architects, structural engineers, consultants, contractors, clients, authorities, and project stakeholders.
Support technically sound, coordinated, practical, compliant, and high-quality building-services solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned MEP packages through concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and construction.
- Develop and coordinate HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, ELV, and related systems.
- Prepare and review calculations, reports, specifications, equipment schedules, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination and resolve interfaces, design conflicts, and engineering challenges.
- Review Revit MEP, AutoCAD, BIM, and coordinated MEP deliverables, including clash detection and model reviews.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and contractor proposals.
- Provide construction support for site issues, RFIs, technical queries, and coordination requirements.
- Support UAE authority submissions and approvals, value engineering, technical reviews, and quality checks.
- Guide junior and intermediate engineers and coordinate technical deliverables for timely project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant MEP engineering experience.
- Strong UAE project experience and exposure to major residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use, high-rise, and large-scale developments.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, UAE authority requirements, and approval processes.
- Good knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IPC, SMACNA, BS, and applicable UAE regulations.
- Advanced AutoCAD and Revit MEP proficiency, with strong BIM coordination knowledge.
- Good working knowledge of Navisworks and multidisciplinary coordination.
Standards and Authorities
Applicable UAE authorities include Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, DDA, Trakhees, RTA, and other relevant authorities.
Applicable standards include ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IPC, SMACNA, BS, and UAE regulations.
