Civil Supervisor

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and verify construction works against approved designs and consultant requirements.
• Monitor concrete, structural works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, external works, roads, infrastructure, and related civil activities.
• Ensure materials, workmanship, and installation methods meet approved specifications and quality standards.
• Review contractor submissions, method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, inspection requests, and technical documentation.
• Monitor progress against the approved schedule and report delays, constraints, and risks.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, project managers, and other disciplines for smooth project execution.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations and follow up on corrective actions.
• Attend site, progress, technical coordination, and inspection meetings.
• Coordinate with MEP, architectural, structural, and other disciplines to resolve interface issues.
• Verify completed works and assist with quantities, measurements, and progress claims where required.
• Support testing, inspections, snagging, handover, close-out, and timely rectification of outstanding works.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 12 years of overall civil construction or site supervision experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working in the UAE.
• Consultant or engineering consultancy experience in a site supervision capacity is required.
• Strong experience supervising and inspecting civil construction works on major projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Good understanding of UAE construction codes, standards, and authority requirements.
• Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to interpret civil, structural, architectural, and related construction drawings.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspections, NCRs, site observations, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on-site while maintaining communication with the wider project team.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 18,000 to AED 20,000 per month.
