QS Engineer

We seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, quantity measurement, tendering, contract administration, cost control, and valuation activities across projects.

• Prepare initial cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
• Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, and tender documents.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and tender documentation.
• Monitor project costs and track expenditure against approved budgets.
• Evaluate completed works and prepare interim valuations.
• Review and assess subcontractor claims, payments, and variations.
• Evaluate variations and their cost implications.
• Support contract administration and commercial negotiations.
• Assist in tender preparation, evaluation, and commercial analysis.
• Maintain accurate cost records and prepare cost reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
• Identify potential cost risks and recommend appropriate cost-control measures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within a construction/contracting or engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, estimation, cost control, valuations, and variations.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Must be currently available in the UAE.

• Bluebeam Revu – drawing review, measurement, and quantity take-off (required)
• AutoCAD – reading and reviewing technical drawings
• MS Excel – cost estimation, BOQ preparation, cost tracking, and reporting
• Knowledge of other quantity surveying, estimation, and cost-control software is an advantage.
