Role Overview
Lead the planning, development, and delivery of complex building projects in Qatar.
Drive design excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and delivery from concept through construction completion.
Balance creative and technical solutions with client objectives, regulations, budgets, and schedules.
Design and Project Leadership
- Lead architectural concepts, design strategies, and detailed design solutions.
- Convert project briefs and client requirements into practical, sustainable, and visually appealing outcomes.
- Oversee feasibility, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction support.
- Manage scope, budgets, schedules, resources, progress, and corrective actions.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to architects, designers, and technical staff.
- Coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders.
Technical and Stakeholder Duties
- Direct advanced architectural and technical solutions addressing functional, operational, and construction needs.
- Review and approve design submissions, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Oversee drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documentation.
- Ensure deliverables comply with building regulations, authority requirements, industry codes, and project standards.
- Represent design matters to clients, consultants, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
- Identify risks and constraints, develop solutions, and support value engineering.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline.
- A master's degree is an advantage.
- Professional registration or recognized architectural-body membership is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of professional architectural experience with design management and project leadership exposure.
- Experience delivering medium- to large-scale building developments.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants and contractors.
- Previous GCC experience, particularly in Qatar, is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge and Tools
- Advanced knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methodologies, and project delivery processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Navisworks, and BIM platforms.
- Strong understanding of local building regulations, international design standards, and construction best practices.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation and construction drawings.
