Role overview
Senior Consultant and Contract Manager role within a regional Contract Services team.
The team delivers contract development, contract management, dispute resolution, and claims management services across the built environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide contract and claims services in the property and built environment sectors.
- Advise clients on claims and dispute management.
- Support regional subject matter experts and the growth of the Contract Services division.
- Compile claim reports.
- Support arbitration and litigation processes.
- Provide consultancy services on live contracts and distressed projects.
- Prepare and support major bid proposals.
Required experience
- Strong experience in a consultancy or contractor organization.
- Experience with standard forms of contract, claims management, and dispute avoidance or dispute resolution.
- Experience across construction sectors and project types.
- Strong contract administration and commercial management experience on major projects.
- Experience with FIDIC and related contract processes and procedures.
- Experience compiling claim reports.
- Experience with arbitration and litigation processes.
- Client-facing confidence and good presentational skills.
- Experience in performance forensics from a quantum or delay background.
Qualifications and preferred credentials
- Relevant background in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or law.
- A quantity surveying, civil engineering, or construction management degree is listed; an MSc in Construction Law or similar is desirable.
- MCIArb, MCIOB, MRICS, or FRICS chartered status is preferred.
