General Objective
Enable the department to apply and develop approved accounting standards, controls, and procedures for government revenue collections held in bank accounts.
Analyze data, studies, and financial reports related to government revenue collection and recommend actions for discrepancies within the role's authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to operating plans, performance indicators, departmental processes, and initiatives that support institutional objectives.
- Review government revenue collection reports and recommend actions to the line manager.
- Verify collection data, long-term receivables, government debts, and amounts collected from other entities.
- Audit collection processes and verify transfers of government revenue under approved procedures.
- Review collections for insurance compensation, events, and other receipts and help develop related processes.
- Analyze actual revenue reports, financial studies, performance reports, settlements, and collection arrears.
- Follow up on government claims, subaccount requests, government deposits, and compliance with related decisions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, answer inquiries, transfer specialist knowledge, and prepare progress reports.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, financial sciences, or a related field is required.
- Experience in similar work is required; the posting specifies three years for master's degree holders.
- Specialized professional certifications such as CMA are advantageous.
Compensation
