About the Role

- Track revenue recognition using percentage of completion methods
- Analyze cost variances and provide actionable financial insights to management
- Review subcontractor costs, purchase orders (LPOs), and material usage against budgets
- Support tendering processes with historical cost data and financial analysis
- Oversee invoicing, progress billing, and certification processes
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely client payment follow ups
- Manage supplier and subcontractor payment processing
- Support cash flow forecasting and treasury management activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience, preferably in UAE construction or landscaping companies
- Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control principles
- Good understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in audits and financial compliance processes
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is an advantage
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- UAE driving license (mandatory)

Overview
- We are looking for a highly analytical and detail oriented Senior Accountant with proven UAE experience in the landscaping or construction sector.
- The role involves managing end to end accounting functions with a strong focus on project accounting, cost control, compliance, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & General Ledger
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage the full general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Lead month end and year end closing processes within strict deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial data.
Project Accounting & Cost Control (Core Focus)
- Monitor project costing, budgeting, and job profitability across multiple projects.
- Track revenue recognition using percentage of completion methods.
- Analyze cost variances and provide actionable financial insights to management.
- Review subcontractor costs, purchase orders (LPOs), and material usage against budgets.
- Support tendering processes with historical cost data and financial analysis.
Receivables, Payables & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee invoicing, progress billing, and certification processes.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely client payment follow ups.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor payment processing.
- Support cash flow forecasting and treasury management activities.
Compliance & VAT (UAE Focus)
- Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including filing and documentation.
- Maintain audit ready financial records and VAT supporting documentation.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.
Reconciliations & Asset Management
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset register, including depreciation and asset tracking.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
- Strengthen internal control systems and identify financial risks.
Payroll & Reporting
- Review payroll accounting in coordination with the HR department.
- Prepare MIS reports and management dashboards.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision making.
Leadership & Coordination
- Liaise with banks, vendors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and support junior finance team members.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
