Security Supervisor

Role Overview

Department and Location

• The position belongs to the Security department.
• The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within a hotel environment.

Security Operations

• Supervise security staff and ensure effective performance of assigned duties.
• Provide 24-hour security coverage throughout the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and participate in the Hotel Emergency Response Team.
• Implement and monitor access control, key control, and material control systems.
• Conduct investigations into theft, loss, vandalism, arson, accidents, and other security incidents.
• Operate and maintain surveillance equipment and ensure accurate key-control records.

Monitoring and Administration

• Perform daily security rounds and update the security log for management review.
• Supervise and assess the contracted security company daily.
• Train, correct, demonstrate, and periodically assess staff duties and performance.
• Assist with weekly schedules, annual performance evaluations, and employee training.
• Ensure employees report punctually in the correct uniform and comply with hotel fire, hygiene, health, safety, and employee rules.

Experience and Languages

• A minimum of two to four years of experience in a security position in the hotel field is required.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in the local language are required.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills are required.
• An additional language is beneficial.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of fire control and basic CCTV security systems is required.
• Practical martial arts skills, scheduling flexibility, and initiative are required.
• Computer literacy adapted to the field, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
