Role Overview
The Personal Trainer conducts gym classes, including aerobic classes, and provides personal training for hotel guests and members according to Kempinski standards.
Guest and Fitness Services
- Ensure the safety of all guests and employees using the Fitness Center.
- Motivate guests to adhere to fitness programs and achieve their goals.
- Evaluate guests’ physical fitness levels and develop fitness programs.
- Teach exercise classes, coordinate the timetable, and update it regularly.
- Monitor guests’ fitness-program progress.
- Assist members with Fitness Center equipment.
- Conduct tours of the facility.
- Ensure guests have sufficient towels and water.
Facility and Equipment Operations
- Prepare fitness department equipment and supplies daily.
- Maintain Fitness Center cleanliness and neatness, especially after guest use.
- Take Fitness Center inventory each month.
- Maintain all equipment and report damage or losses to the Fitness Manager or delegate.
- Stay current with developments relevant to the department and become trained in their use.
Conduct and Policy Requirements
- Maintain top physical condition.
- Maintain appropriate conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform, appearance, and posture standards.
- Adhere to the Employee Handbook, hotel fire, hygiene, health, and safety policies.
- Report punctually in the correct uniform and name tag.
- Report and rectify potential and actual hazards immediately.
General Duties
Perform special projects delegated by the manager or director.
Perform duties efficiently under company policies and procedures to achieve position objectives.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
