About the Role

- Lead, supervise, and develop operations staff to ensure high performance and adherence to KPIs
- Define department KPIs and conduct regular performance evaluations
- Develop and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with company policies
- Provide expert guidance on resolving operational challenges such as customs clearance delays
- Optimize freight costs, routing efficiency, and resource utilization
- Identify cost saving opportunities in shipping, transport, and handling
- Conduct regular supplier meetings to review performance and take corrective actions
- Collect and analyze operational and financial data including shipment volumes, costs, and margins
- Monitor and control operational expenditures including shipping line payments and transporter costs
Requirements
- 6 years of experience in Sea/Air Operations
- Knowledge of all freight modes: FCL, LCL, RORO, breakbulk, project cargo
- Familiarity with import, export, transit, and multimodal transport processes
- Strong understanding of port procedures
- Knowledge of clearance types in GCC and other regions
- Awareness of free zone formalities
- Experience leading and supervising operations staff

Responsibilities
- Know all freight modes, including FCL, LCL, RORO, breakbulk, project cargo, etc.
- Must have 6 years of experience working in Sea/Air Operations
- Be familiar with all processes related to import, export, transit, and multimodal transport.
- Have a strong understanding of port procedures.
- Demonstrate expertise in reaching difficult destinations using various transport modes.
- Understand the handling requirements of different cargo types, including temperature controlled, high value, and oversized cargo.
- Be knowledgeable about all types of clearance applicable in the GCC and other regions.
- Have awareness of free zone formalities.
- Lead, supervise, and develop operations staff to ensure high performance and adherence to KPIs.
- Define department KPIs & Conduct regular performance evaluations, and coordinate with HR on employee development
- Develop and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with company policies and industry standards.
- Provide expert guidance on resolving operational challenges, including customs clearance delays, documentation discrepancies, and shipment handling issues.
