The employer is seeking an experienced Inbound Supervisor to lead and oversee receiving operations at a fast-growing grocery distribution center.
The role covers the flow of goods from supplier arrival through receiving and putaway handover, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and timely processing.
Key responsibilities
- Plan daily inbound schedules and allocate manpower based on truck arrivals and inbound volume.
- Supervise unloading, counting, WMS purchase-order receiving, and putaway handover.
- Close all open receipts on the same day without end-of-shift backlog.
- Enforce cold-chain, FEFO, expiry, and quality-control requirements across multiple temperature categories.
- Lead, train, and develop the receiving team while monitoring productivity and performance.
- Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, and suppliers on inbound operations.
- Monitor inbound volumes, productivity, and open receipts.
- Identify recurring issues and support process and system improvements.
- Maintain floor presence and compliance with warehouse procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of warehouse operations experience, including at least 2 years supervising a receiving or inbound team.
- Experience in grocery, FMCG, retail, or food distribution, preferably with multi-temperature handling.
- Hands-on WMS experience covering receiving, PO or ASN processing, and putaway.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of food safety, cold chain, and expiry control.
- Proven people management, strong warehouse floor presence, and written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and peak seasons.
