Role Overview

  • With stunning resorts located across the globe, Kerzner International currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Pastry Chef de Partie to join the One&Only team at One&Only The Palm Hotel in Dubai.
  • The Chef de Partie plays an essential role in the continued success of the Resort, preparing high quality dishes, developing strong working relationships, and supporting an exceptional culinary experience.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your designated section according to the kitchen standards.
  • Assist with the creation of menu items and daily specials.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all food items.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in your section.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines.
  • Train and supervise Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on kitchen operations.
  • Ensure timely preparation and smooth flow during service hours.
  • Handle equipment with care and report any maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Support in planning and managing food preparation for banquets, events, and high volume periods.

Candidate Requirements

  • A suitable candidate should have a minimum of 2–4 years of experience in an upscale 5 star hotel or resort kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary knowledge and a solid understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations are essential.
  • The candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues across the kitchen brigade.
  • They should be dynamic team players capable of delivering the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of an additional language will be highly regarded.
