Role Overview
SDV Consulting Engineers is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer for building projects in Abu Dhabi.
The role supervises mechanical works and ensures compliance with specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and UAE authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical works on site and verify compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contracts.
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical documents.
- Inspect mechanical works, verify workmanship and materials, identify non-conformances, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities on technical and construction matters.
- Monitor construction progress and prepare inspection reports, site observations, and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with quality plans, safety requirements, approved procedures, and authority regulations.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
- Report to the Site Resident Engineer and perform assigned engineering, supervision, inspection, and coordination duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in MEP construction and site supervision.
- Proven experience in industrial and steel structure-related projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and drainage, firefighting systems, and external utility services.
- Good knowledge of UAE codes, standards, and authority requirements, including ADCD and TAQA.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.
- Valid UAE driving license.
