Role Description
The Civil Inspector performs construction site quality inspections and supports project quality control activities.
The role reports to the Construction Supervisor on inspections, quality issues, and progress.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and attend surveillance, witness point, hold point, and quality audit inspections.
- Review quality plans, ITPs, test reports, prequalification documents, testing and commissioning plans, and handover documents.
- Participate in inspection tests and monitor construction activities for compliance with project standards and quality requirements.
- Maintain quality control records and reports with the project team.
- Report inspections, quality issues, and progress updates to the Construction Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least 5 years of construction experience, including at least 3 years as a Civil Site Inspector in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes, construction standards, quality documentation, and inspection processes.
- Civil inspection experience with steel structural or industrial buildings is highly preferred.
- Experience working in an engineering consultancy and familiarity with UAE regulations and project requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A UAE driving license is required.
