Overview
Perform complex setups and machine a variety of components on multiple machine tools.
Work safely and efficiently to meet customer needs while maintaining extremely close tolerances.
Plan machining operations from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Promote safety and quality and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Operate lathes, boring mills, mills, grinders, drill presses, cranes, forklifts, and other required equipment.
- Use micrometers, indicators, calipers, gauges, tooling, drawings, procedures, specifications, and documentation.
- Perform turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, sawing, slotting, grooving, grinding, and related operations.
- Complete preventive maintenance, dimensional inspections, part layouts, production logs, and quality documentation.
- Train other employees and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs across work shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- 5–8 years of experience with rotating turbo machinery.
- Advanced rigging capabilities and advanced machining capabilities on manual lathes.
- Experience with turbines, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
- Ability to read drawings, sketches, job scopes, and verbal instructions and work to extremely close tolerances.
Base Location and Work Schedule
- This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position based at the Repair Facility in KEZAD Free Zone, Abu Dhabi.
