The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
The position ensures that kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces are clean and ready for culinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, organize, wash, rinse, and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
- Clean and polish silverware, glassware, and chinaware, and assist with kitchen and dining equipment inventory.
- Remove garbage and waste promptly and support food preparation and meal-service setup.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in food storage areas and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Set up and clean up kitchen and dining areas for service and collaborate with stewarding supervisors and managers.
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, environmental, health, and safety procedures while working safely and sustainably.
