Role Overview
Support commissioning of electrical systems for a 200MW data center project.
Verify that electrical distribution and power systems meet design intent, code requirements, and the Owner's Project Requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Support commissioning of switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, ATS/STS, busway, and PDUs.
- Assist with FAT, SAT, and IST test script development and execution.
- Review electrical single-line diagrams, protective relay settings, and coordination studies.
- Track commissioning issues, deficiencies, and punch list items through closeout.
- Support load bank, UPS battery, and generator load testing.
- Verify installation and startup against manufacturer requirements and project specifications.
- Maintain commissioning documentation, checklists, and test records.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and design engineers during testing.
Key Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- One to three years of experience in electrical commissioning, MEP construction, or critical power systems.
- Understanding of medium- and low-voltage distribution, standby power systems, and UPS topologies.
- Familiarity with commissioning standards and safety practices, including NFPA 70E and arc flash awareness.
- Tier III/IV data center or equivalent N+1 and 2N redundancy experience is preferred.
- Protective relay testing or power quality analysis exposure is preferred.
- CCP or NETA certification, or progress toward chartership, is preferred.
