About the Role
Abbott is seeking a Finance Analyst for the Gulf & Pakistan region to provide financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and internal controls support.

Responsibilities
- Support Forecasting/Business Reviews (Monthly, Quarterly LBE) including working with country GM on sales and expenses forecast
- Correlate sales pipeline to forecast and provide in market/to market inventory analysis for distributor markets
- Prepare and communicate timely forecasting package to Regional HQ and forecast load into financial system
- Coordinate monthly closing of financial books
- Maintain integrity of P&L including Sales, Expenses, Headcount and Investment data for LBE's
- Develop business cases for new product launches, tenders and other country projects
- Work with country teams in identifying new business opportunities
- Assist Region HQ Function Managers and Country Management with ad hoc reports and analyses
- Continually work to improve current operations through process improvements and value added analytics
- Ensure compliance with corporate / local policies and procedures
Requirements
- BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA or professional qualification preferred
- At least 5 years of post qualification experience in financial planning and analysis in a pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and other MS office programs
- Experience with Cognos based systems is an added asset
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred
- Strong business acumen, analytical and data gathering skills
- Ability to work under tight delivery timelines
- Ability to take initiatives proactively
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
