Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to monitor and control project costs, ensuring that construction projects are delivered within the approved budget and in accordance with company procedures.
Main Responsibilities
Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, and forecasts.
Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, cash flow projections, and cost forecasts.
Track project expenditures, variations, subcontractor payments, and material costs.
Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to project management.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, and Finance teams.
Monitor progress against budgets and provide regular financial updates.
Support the preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and tender evaluations.
Ensure accurate cost coding, documentation, and compliance with company policies.
Identify potential cost overruns and support effective cost-saving measures.
Prepare monthly cost control reports for management.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in cost control within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Experience
with Excel and project cost control software.
Good understanding of construction contracts, variations, and subcontractor cost management.
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
UAE construction experience is preferred.
