Position Overview
The company is hiring a Contracts and Quantity Surveying Manager for construction operations in Abu Dhabi.
Main Responsibilities
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and commercial documents in line with contractual obligations and deadlines.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks and provide recommendations to management.
- Manage correspondence, notices, EOTs, claims, disputes, and the contract register.
- Manage budgets, cost plans, forecasts, and commercial reports against approved budgets.
- Review BOQs, quantities, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for take-offs and estimates.
- Prepare payment applications and valuations and monitor committed, actual, and projected final costs.
- Manage variations and change orders through documentation, pricing, approval, and recovery.
- Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and follow up claims for additional works, delays, disruption, and EOTs.
- Review subcontract agreements and monitor subcontractor performance, payments, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Support tendering and procurement through tender reviews, pricing, quotations, comparisons, and risk identification.
- Manage client and subcontractor final accounts and close outstanding commercial matters.
- Prepare monthly reports and dashboards covering profitability, cash flow, costs, variations, claims, and forecasts.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in construction contracts and quantity surveying, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial management, cost control, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction practices.
