About the Role

Location

• The role is located in the Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and administer main contracts, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and related commercial documents.
• Review contractual terms, conditions, obligations, and project requirements.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend appropriate actions to management.
• Prepare and manage variations, claims, extensions of time, notices, and contractual correspondence.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier commercial matters and ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare, review, and evaluate BOQs, measurements, valuations, interim payment applications, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and commercial reports for management.
• Review subcontractor payment applications, variations, and claims.
• Support project teams in resolving contractual and commercial issues.
• Maintain contract registers and monitor key contractual dates and obligations.
• Provide contractual and commercial advice to project managers and senior management.

Skills and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
• The role requires 7-10 years of relevant experience in contracts and quantity surveying within construction.
• Strong experience in UAE construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, variations, claims, extensions of time, and commercial management is required.
• Good knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction practices is required.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, measurement, and valuation is required.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and relevant quantity surveying or commercial software is required.
• The ability to work independently and effectively under project deadlines is required.
