Waitress cum Cashier

Role Overview

Customer Service

• Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Escort customers to their tables when required and present menus, promotions, and daily specials.
• Take orders accurately, communicate them to the kitchen, and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Respond to requests, resolve minor complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Cashier Duties

• Operate the POS system and process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately.
• Issue receipts, maintain transaction records, balance the cash drawer, and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure all customer bills are accurately prepared and settled.

Restaurant Operations

• Prepare and clear tables, maintain dining and service areas, and refill condiments, cutlery, and napkins.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and Baladiya requirements.
• Handle equipment responsibly, report maintenance issues, and assist with monitoring service-item stock levels.

Sales and Teamwork

• Upsell menu items, beverages, desserts, and promotions and support branch sales targets.
• Work closely with kitchen and service staff, assist colleagues during busy periods, and attend required training and team meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service certificate is an advantage.
• Basic mathematical and cash-handling skills are required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a waiter, cashier, or in a similar hospitality role is required.
• POS system knowledge and casual or fine dining experience are preferred.

Physical and Schedule Requirements

• The role requires extended standing and walking, carrying food trays or light restaurant equipment, and working flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
• The position involves rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Workplace

• Work is performed in person in a fast-paced restaurant environment with continuous customer and colleague interaction.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,200–AED 2,500 per month.
