Store Helper

Role Overview

Education and Experience

• A minimum high school or secondary school certificate is preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills are required.
• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Store Helper, Warehouse Helper, Stock Assistant, or in a similar role.
• Foodstuff, FMCG, supermarket, restaurant supply, or general trading experience is preferred.
• UAE warehouse experience is an advantage.
• Experience handling dry, chilled, and frozen food products is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Storekeeper or Warehouse Supervisor with daily warehouse activities.
• Receive and unload goods and check delivered items against delivery documents.
• Arrange products in designated storage areas and follow FIFO and FEFO procedures.
• Assist with daily and monthly stock counts.
• Pick, pack, label, and organize items according to customer or branch orders.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
• Move cartons using trolleys, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Report damaged, expired, missing, or incorrect products.
• Ensure products are stored according to required conditions and monitor expiry dates.
• Support stock transfers between warehouse locations or branches.
• Follow company health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

Important Skills

• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move cartons safely.
• Attention to detail, basic counting skills, and the ability to follow instructions.
• Teamwork, communication, time management, and punctuality.
• Honesty and responsibility when handling company stock.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Previous experience with ERP or warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Excel knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with barcode scanners is preferred.
• UAE food safety or food handling training is an advantage.
• A UAE driving license is an advantage but is not mandatory for a purely warehouse role.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Knowledge of FIFO and FEFO procedures.
• Experience receiving, arranging, picking, packing, loading, and dispatching goods.
• Ability to assist with physical stock counts and inventory checks.
• Good knowledge of product storage and expiry-date monitoring.
• Basic English communication and basic mathematics are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Candidates able to join immediately are preferred.

Pay

• Pay is AED 1,700–2,200 per month.
