Company Overview

Adaptyv is building an automated laboratory that enables AI agents to run biology experiments.

The company combines software, hardware, laboratory instruments, workflow orchestration, observability, data pipelines, and AI systems.

Adaptyv is opening a London lab in 2026 and works with biopharmas, AI labs, and techbio companies.

Role Details

  • The role is based in London and is on-site.
  • The position is full-time and starts as soon as possible.
  • The hire will be one of the first UK employees, working with the founders, Head of UK Operations, and Lausanne team.

About the Role

The role will help establish the London lab as part of the UK life-sciences ecosystem.

The position owns much of the UK customer-, partner-, and community-facing operation.

The role includes customer onboarding, strategic programmes, events, partnerships, and operational coordination.

What You’ll Do

  • Own UK customer operations from onboarding through experiment submission and results delivery.
  • Run strategic programmes and partnerships, including milestones, reporting, partner reviews, deliverables, and operating cadence.
  • Organise competitions, hackathons, meetups, workshops, and conference activities.
  • Coordinate UK announcements, event content, case studies, customer stories, and other marketing materials.
  • Build operating systems, automate repetitive workflows, and improve collaboration across teams.
  • Take ownership of evolving priorities as the London operation grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • A life-sciences background and ability to discuss protein engineering experiments and assays with scientists.
  • A degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A track record of running complex projects in operations, programmes, partnerships, startups, accelerators, venture capital, or scientific organisations.
  • Exceptional organisation across customers, partners, deadlines, events, and internal stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for updates, meetings, customers, and events.
  • High ownership and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve how work gets done.
  • Based in London or ready to move for an on-site position.

Lab and Ecosystem Context

The London lab is intended to provide high-throughput protein production and characterisation for biotech companies and researchers.

The company plans to build a local community around protein engineering and collaborate with partners including Anthropic and Boltz.

Application Process

  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
