Job Description Summary

Tendering and Application Engineering

• Provide technical expertise and develop FACTS/HVDC service solutions during the pre-ITO process.
• Develop bid strategies based on FACTS/HVDC markets, customer economic value, and competitive differentiation.
• Prepare complex technical proposals, offer templates, and costing templates.
• Analyze client needs and define products, scope, schedules, industrial schemes, and costs.
• Calculate plant, system, and equipment performance and efficiency.
• Document technical specifications and costing elements for later contract-execution phases.
• Attend customer meetings and identify solutions to service needs.
• Coordinate with worldwide regional FACTS/HVDC teams and factories.

Technical Support and Improvement

• Assist regional technical support teams with customer tickets and resolution of issues involving company assets.
• Support project managers with customer follow-up calls for cases arising from proposals or site interventions.
• Oversee engineering data quality, archiving, troubleshooting records, back-office operations, and site data collection.
• Support root-cause analysis documentation and approvals.
• Monitor process compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop technical procedures, process documentation, and flowcharts.
• Submit technical documentation to external customers and internal ticketing teams.
• Launch global commercial campaigns for new FACTS/HVDC products and services.

Required Qualifications

• Significant experience in engineering, technology, or customer application engineering.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems and lead programs or projects.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Established project management skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work remotely with limited direct supervision and maintain focus on customer needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and English written, verbal, and telephone communication.
• Deep knowledge of FACTS/HVDC products, including synchronous condensers, fixed series capacitors, static VAR compensators, and STATCOM.

Desired Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience is preferred.
• Power-electronics engineering education, utility-market experience, related service-business experience, and FACTS/HVDC field-service or commissioning experience are desirable.
• Ability to travel by car or air and maintain a valid driver’s license is desirable.
• Adaptability, autonomy, resourcefulness, customer-service focus, organizational skills, and strong leadership and communication skills are desirable.
