Responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software, firmware, platforms, and systems controlling real-time physical devices.
The role focuses on software quality testing for products and services across multiple business areas.
The position operates within a defined framework with direct operational supervision and prescribed work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Create and apply embedded software and firmware quality tests for features, feature sets, or complete feature areas.
- Validate and test substation automation products and solutions.
- Collaborate with teams across businesses to resolve technical issues.
- Exchange technical information and confirm understanding in customer-facing activities when required.
- Document, plan, and execute programs and testing activities.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Hands-on experience creating test strategies and validating substation automation products and solutions.
- Knowledge of serial and LAN-based SCADA protocols.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, Agile software development, and project management methodologies.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with others, and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred skills
- LDAP and Active Directory administration experience is highly appreciated.
- Knowledge of VMware, vCenter, or hypervisor virtualization is highly appreciated.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are desirable.
