Key Responsibilities

• Prepare structural drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and construction details from approved designs and project requirements.
• Review designs and convert structural concepts into accurate construction drawings.
• Conduct site visits and verify dimensions, measurements, existing conditions, and construction requirements.
• Update drawings for design changes, RFIs, site conditions, and consultant or client comments.
• Review drawings for discrepancies, conflicts, constructability issues, and coordination requirements.
• Prepare structural calculations and supporting technical documentation.
• Coordinate structural requirements with architectural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review subcontractor shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Raise and respond to structural RFIs and coordinate technical resolutions.
• Participate in technical meetings with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Support site coordination and construction compliance with approved design specifications.
• Supervise draftsmen, technicians, and other technical personnel when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, construction, shop drawings, and technical coordination.
• Experience with structural shop drawings, construction drawings, calculations, RFIs, and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating structural works with architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Experience reviewing subcontractor shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and other engineering or design software.
• Good understanding of building codes, standards, specifications, and construction requirements.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Adobe and related technical documentation software knowledge is advantageous.

Work Context

• The role includes site visits and site coordination activities in the UAE.
• The position involves communication with engineers, technical managers, project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• High-rise building experience with structural shop drawings, calculations, RFIs, multidisciplinary coordination, and subcontractor drawing review is preferred.
• Experience on large-scale building or infrastructure projects and direct consultant or client coordination is advantageous.
