Position Overview

  • The Strategy & Business Development Leader – MEA is responsible for shaping, driving, and executing the regional growth agenda across the Middle East and Africa.
  • This role leads strategic planning, identifies new business opportunities, builds strategic partnerships, and drives cross functional initiatives that expand the company’s market presence and long term profitability in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of the MEA strategic plan aligned with global priorities and market reality.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, industry trends, and potential threats.
  • Develop long range plans including revenue forecasting, market segmentation, and investment prioritization.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps for country and functional teams.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities including partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and potential M&A.
  • Build business cases, financial models, and go to market strategies for new products, services, or market entries.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with key stakeholders, partners, and government entities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to regional leadership and global executives.
  • Prepare executive level presentations, board materials, and strategic reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in strategy, business development, management consulting, or corporate planning.
  • Proven experience in the Middle East & Africa markets.
  • Demonstrated track record in leading strategic projects and delivering measurable commercial results.
  • Experience with market entry strategies, and large scale transformation programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent financial modelling and business case development capabilities.
  • Ability to influence, manage stakeholders and collaborate with C level executives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • High level of cultural awareness and ability to operate across diverse markets.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic, French, or relevant local languages are a plus.
