Sr. UI/UX Designer

Position overview

Accountabilities

• Design high-quality user interfaces and experiences for web and mobile products.
• Translate briefs and product requirements into user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and polished experiences.
• Develop interactive prototypes in Figma to communicate behavior, interactions, and transitions.
• Maintain visual design systems covering grids, spacing, typography, hierarchy, and responsive layouts.
• Use AI-powered tools for ideation, exploration, and rapid prototyping.
• Collaborate with developers and technical teams on practical implementation.
• Present design concepts and decisions, incorporate feedback, and explain design rationale.
• Own projects from concept through delivery and contribute to experimental digital experiences.

Requirements

• Five or more years of professional experience in UI/UX, Product Design, Digital Design, or a comparable senior design role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX capability, visual quality, creative range, and web experience.
• Advanced Figma proficiency, including interactive prototyping.
• Strong knowledge of usability, information architecture, hierarchy, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Excellent visual design skills in grids, spacing, typography, composition, and layout.
• Experience working closely with developers or technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English and confidence presenting design decisions.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fully remote environment.
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript familiarity is a plus.
• Motion design, animation, 3D, mobile, e-commerce, AI workflow, and experimental experience is advantageous.
• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency is beneficial.

Remote work setup

• The role is fully remote and follows a schedule aligned with 9:00 AM–5:00 PM AEST, Brisbane/GMT+10.
• Candidates must provide their own computer capable of running Figma and relevant design software.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote working environment are required.
