Role Overview
The employer is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Plumbing with extensive UAE MEP contracting experience.
The role covers plumbing and drainage design, execution, supervision, authority compliance, testing, commissioning, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of plumbing, drainage, and firefighting support systems.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Ensure water supply, drainage, stormwater, and sewage systems comply with project specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal MEP teams.
- Supervise site activities and resolve technical plumbing issues.
- Manage testing and commissioning, including pressure testing and inspections.
- Monitor project progress, cost control, and timely completion.
- Prepare RFIs, technical reports, and as-built documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of local authority regulations and approvals.
- Excellent leadership and coordination skills.
- Immediate availability is required.
- A UAE driving license is required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Emaar and Expo projects is preferred.
Workplace and Compliance
- The work location is in person.
- The role requires compliance with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, and other UAE authority regulations.
