Site Execution and Installation

  • Supervise installation of power distribution systems, including LV panels, MDBs, SMDBs, and DBs.
  • Supervise cable laying, termination, glanding, lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, and low-current systems.
  • Ensure work follows approved IFC and shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Monitor installation progress and quality performed by electricians and subcontractors.

Coordination and Quality

  • Coordinate electrical routing and installations with civil, HVAC, plumbing, and finishing works.
  • Attend coordination meetings to resolve clashes with consultants, contractors, and MEP teams.
  • Raise RFIs for unclear site conditions or drawing conflicts and follow up on responses.
  • Conduct quality checks, raise WIRs, close NCRs, and verify installation checklists and inspection reports.

Materials

  • Ensure approved cables, conduits, fixtures, switchgear, and other electrical materials are used.
  • Monitor material delivery, storage, and usage to avoid shortages or wastage.
  • Prepare material take-offs and coordinate with procurement for timely requisitions.

Testing and Commissioning

  • Plan and supervise insulation resistance, continuity, lighting, power, DB wiring, and breaker configuration tests.
  • Support third-party testing and DEWA inspections for power supply energization.
  • Ensure final testing, commissioning, and handover documents are submitted and approved.

Documentation and Safety

  • Maintain daily site activity logs, manpower reports, installation checklists, and progress reports.
  • Update red-marked and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE electrical codes and DEWA standards.
  • Enforce lockout/tagout, PPE, toolbox talks, incident reporting, and other HSE procedures.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Accompany consultants and client representatives during inspections and walkthroughs.
  • Address stakeholder-raised site issues and ensure timely resolution and follow-up.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Seven years of experience as an Electrical Site Engineer is required.
  • A UAE driving license is required.

Technical Knowledge

  • Experience with LV panels, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, cabling, lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, ELV, CCTV, and access control.
  • Knowledge of approved drawings, electrical testing, commissioning, WIRs, NCRs, UAE electrical codes, and DEWA standards.

Workplace

  • Work location is in person at project sites.
