The role leads advanced software development in the Energy Markets Application Services Team.
The position combines people leadership with strong technical expertise and hands-on project work.
The focus is on Power Systems Applications and the GE Vernova GridOS Markets solution.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, integrate, tune, and deliver software for energy markets projects and products.
- Enhance, evolve, and support a high-availability Electricity Energy Market Management System.
- Lead implementation of advanced Power Systems Application software.
- Provide technical leadership and domain knowledge to electricity markets application engineers.
- Drive team growth, talent development, utilization, and delivery capabilities.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, product teams, customers, solution providers, and cross-functional teams.
- Apply SDLC, Lean, Agile, XP, continuous integration, security, scalability, and testing practices.
- Identify project delivery risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support technical demonstrations, proposals, pre-sales activities, SOW deliverables, and upsell opportunities.
Basic qualifications
- Master's or doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or an equivalent field.
- Substantial Power Systems domain and software development experience.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences and communicate across organizational levels.
Desired qualifications
- Hands-on software development experience for energy exchange or energy markets applications is preferred.
- Experience providing constructive feedback, mentoring team members, removing obstacles, and driving continuous improvement is desirable.
- Ability to understand electricity markets and interpret customer requirements across regions is desirable.
