Role Overview
Senior Architectural Engineer role supporting a high-rise building construction project in Dubai, UAE.
The position manages and supervises architectural works from construction through completion and handover.
The role covers architectural coordination, finishing works, consultant coordination, subcontractor management, and site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural works and ensure execution follows approved drawings, specifications, materials, quality standards, and schedules.
- Review drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements, RFIs, technical queries, and related documentation.
- Coordinate architectural activities with structural, MEP, façade, interior, consultant, designer, subcontractor, and supplier teams.
- Supervise finishing works including blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, flooring, ceilings, doors, joinery, painting, and façade interfaces.
- Conduct inspections, coordinate QA/QC approvals and testing, manage snagging and de-snagging, and support final acceptance and handover.
- Monitor progress, provide technical guidance, attend project meetings, report risks, and ensure HSE compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant architectural construction experience.
- Experience with high-rise construction, finishing works, site execution, contractors, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
- Experience with inspections, approvals, RFIs, material submittals, shop drawings, project documentation, and large-scale developments.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and UAE construction requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and other BIM software is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, construction quality requirements, and health and safety requirements.
