Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise LV, lighting, power distribution, emergency power, ELV, earthing, lightning protection, and other electrical works on site.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, technical queries, and related documentation.
• Coordinate electrical services with MEP disciplines, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Monitor subcontractor activities, manpower, materials, productivity, progress, and compliance with the project schedule.
• Inspect installations and coordinate QA/QC inspections, IRs, MIRs, testing, commissioning, energization, and final approvals.
• Monitor MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, cable containment, cables, lighting, small power, emergency systems, and related equipment.
• Coordinate ELV systems including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and other low-current systems.
• Identify clashes and technical issues, coordinate corrective actions, and support safe working practices.
• Coordinate material requirements with procurement and site teams.
• Update as-built drawings and support handover documents, O&M manuals, reports, records, and authority approvals.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• High-rise building construction experience is preferred.
• UAE or GCC construction industry experience is preferred.
• Relevant engineering certification or registration is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, installation practices, MEP coordination, QA/QC, testing, commissioning, and construction safety is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and relevant engineering or electrical software is required.
• Good command of written and spoken English is required.

• Work location is in person on the Dubai project site.
