Job Purpose
The QA/QC Engineer implements, updates, and maintains the Quality Management System for a high-rise building project.
The role covers engineering review, method statements, material submittals, compliance verification, and coordination with consultant and client representatives.
The project must meet international and Dubai-specific standards, including Dubai Municipality and Civil Defense requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans, and quality procedures.
- Review and manage material submittals, method statements, and pre-qualification documents before consultant submission.
- Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Conduct internal quality audits on subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure work aligns with Dubai Municipality and Dubai Green Building regulations.
- Coordinate third-party testing laboratories for concrete, wind, and facade requirements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly QA/QC compliance reports.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Five to eight years of construction experience.
- At least three years on UAE high-rise building projects of G+30 or higher.
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal or Lead Auditor certification is highly preferred.
- Dubai Municipality approved engineer status is a major plus.
- Deep knowledge of ACI, BS, and ASTM codes and local Dubai authorities.
- Strong command of QA/QC documentation software.
