Role Overview

Supports the Energy and Sustainability Manager within the Total Facilities Management team in Dubai.

Conducts research, analysis, audits, utility monitoring, and efficiency projects to support sustainability and regulatory compliance.

The HQ-based role may require irregular working hours and occasional visits to remote locations.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement energy, water, and sustainability initiatives to achieve cost savings.
  • Analyze energy conservation measures using ROI, payback period, and lifecycle cost assessments.
  • Track project savings and support budgets, business cases, capital expenditure proposals, and procurement evaluations.
  • Review utility bills and monitor expenditure trends.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical focal point for clients on energy and sustainability matters.
  • Prepare and present energy performance, sustainability, ESG, and utility reports.
  • Conduct site assessments, energy audits, and sustainability reviews for client facilities.
  • Support sustainability certifications, regulatory compliance, and energy management objectives.
  • Coordinate with facility teams, contractors, and vendors on improvement projects.

Energy and Process Management

  • Develop energy management strategies and policies for electricity, water, sewage, and waste.
  • Conduct energy, water, and waste audits and prepare reports and action plans for consumption reduction.
  • Perform ASHRAE Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 energy audits.
  • Support feasibility studies, project requirements, technical solutions, bid support, and client presentations.
  • Establish utility baselines, benchmark performance, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead energy and water conservation projects through implementation and savings measurement and verification.
  • Conduct Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon accounting and audits and support accurate emissions reporting.

Innovation

  • Evaluate technologies for energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainability.
  • Support smart metering, IoT, AI-driven analytics, and digital energy management solutions.
  • Research industry trends, best practices, and sustainability technologies.
  • Develop data-driven dashboards and automated reporting solutions.

Selection Criteria

  • Graduation in Engineering, Facilities Management, Sustainability, Environmental, or CSR-related engineering.
  • Strong energy management and sustainability knowledge.
  • Prior knowledge of LEED and green building guidelines.
  • Experience in the sustainability and energy industry.
  • Knowledge of carbon auditing, emissions reporting, and sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with data analysis, MS Office, BMS, CAFM systems, and energy modelling.
  • LEED Green Associate certification, preferably LEED AP, is preferred.
  • CMVP, CEA, CEM, or CAP certification is preferred.
