Role overview

Financial responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual performance within scope and approved budgets.
• Monitor P&L, revenue planning, budgets, forecasts, staffing costs, invoicing, and contract profitability.
• Identify cost savings, upselling opportunities, and operational input for bids and tenders.

Process and operations

• Oversee hard and soft FM operations, statutory compliance, client standards, and internal policies.
• Monitor resources, SLAs, KPIs, vendor performance, preventive and corrective maintenance, and service quality.
• Use CAFM systems for work-order management, reporting, and data integrity.
• Lead mobilization and demobilization activities within budget and timelines.

Customer and people

• Build client relationships through regular engagement, performance reviews, site visits, and strategic discussions.
• Lead client meetings, improvement plans, resource planning, staff mobilization, induction, and training.
• Mentor Operations Managers and collaborate with commercial, procurement, HR, finance, and legal teams.

Innovation and sustainability

• Plan logistics, sourcing, recruitment, and equipment requirements for hard and soft services.
• Support energy optimization and introduce IoT sensors, smart cleaning, BMS enhancements, and automation.
• Promote sustainable FM practices aligned with UAE sustainability goals, client ESG objectives, and international standards.

Selection criteria

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering, or an equivalent FM-related qualification.
• At least 8–10 years or more managing structured service contracts, including five years as a manager handling multiple contracts.
• Technical knowledge of FM standards and processes and strong commercial and contractual P&L knowledge.
• UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Ability to interpret MEP, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Experience managing multiple hard and soft FM contracts and varied facility types.

Tools and certifications

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and report writing is required.
• CFM, BICS, PMP, IOSH, NEBOSH, or membership in FM bodies such as IFWM, BIFM, or MEFMA is preferred.
• Experience with CAFM systems, energy management, IoT, automation, and BMS enhancements supports the role.

Work setting

• The role includes routine site visits, staff mobilization, service-quality checks, audits, and oversight across client facilities in the UAE.
