Assistant Manager - Soft Services supporting the Total Facilities Management Team in Dubai.
The role manages and supports daily division operations while maintaining expected client and customer service levels.
Financial responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning-operation budgets and expenses, optimizing costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory and maintain adequate stock.
Customer responsibilities
- Handle and resolve cleanliness complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct facility inspections, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective measures.
Process responsibilities
- Plan and organize daily cleaning schedules with the Account Manager for effective coverage and resource allocation.
- Supervise, train, guide, and provide performance feedback to cleaning staff.
- Ensure planned preventive maintenance and service requests are closed within target times.
- Develop cleaning procedures and best practices in line with regulations and company policies.
- Maintain records covering attendance, performance evaluations, and incident reports.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and promote a safe working environment.
- Prepare monthly staff meetings and daily or weekly briefings with managers and team coordinators or senior supervisors.
Innovation
- Stay current with cleaning-industry trends, techniques, and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Selection criteria
- At least 7 years of facilities management experience in a managerial position.
- At least 2 years of mall management experience in a managerial position.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in facilities management and BICSc training certificate.
- Good knowledge of heavy-duty cleaning machines, cleaning chemicals, and cleaning methods.
- Proven project management skills and experience leading continuous improvement projects with commercial and contract awareness.
