Responsibilities
- Support the department manager in providing quantitative and qualitative market research and data driven insights to support strategic decision making
- Monitor market information from various sources relevant to macro environment, oil and gas industry, and ADNOC Distribution business
- Conduct research and analysis of market fundamentals, trends, competitors, market sizing, and forecasting
- Conduct performance data analytics, investment appraisal, financial modelling in coordination with other departments
- Manage dashboard and report development for syndicated research data to communicate key insights
- Produce analytical models and reports identifying new performance insights and opportunities
- Develop and present periodic reports to management covering market analysis, price information, and refining margin outlook
- Prepare regional and country wise assessment of fuel distribution products supply/demand balances, prices and forecasts
- Continuously improve proprietary market forecasting models
- Gather intelligence on competitors and provide recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, Statistics, Finance or any other relevant discipline
- 8 years of experience across various functions in Oil and Gas Retailer including Strategy, Corporate Planning, Retail etc.
- Experience of developing strategic plans, financial models for service based industry
- In depth knowledge of ADNOC Distribution’s business objectives, operations and of the regional laws and regulations

Job Purpose
- To analyze and disseminate research reports, competitor performance, and market trends by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data and ADNOC Distribution’s performance, to derive data driven conclusions and actionable qualitative and quantitative insights.
Key Accountabilities Research and Benchmarking
- Support the department manager in providing quantitative and qualitative market research, and providing data driven insights to support strategic decision making and evaluating strategic investment opportunities.
- Constantly monitors market information from all possible sources relevant to overall Macro Environment, Oil and Gas Industry and ADNOC Distribution business.
- Conduct research and analysis of ADNOC Distribution’s underlying markets’ fundamentals and trends, competitors, market sizing and forecasting, and internal information.
- Conduct performance data analytics, investment appraisal, financial modelling in coordination with various other departments.
- Manage dashboard and report development and improvement efforts for syndicated research data to communicate key insights.
- Produce analytical models and reports which identify new performance insights and opportunities.
- Develops and presents periodic reports for circulation to management covering market analysis and findings, price information, actual data and projections and refining margin outlook.
- Prepare the regional and country wise assessment of fuel distribution products supply/demand balances, prices and medium/long term forecasts.
- Continuously search for new ways to improve proprietary market forecasting models.
- Gather intelligence on competitors, prepare periodic reports and provide recommendations.
Key Accountabilities Communication and Relationship Management
- Support Department Manager Economics & Research in communicating analysis and research reports to a variety of audiences.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across ADNOC Distribution and beyond.
- Provide ad hoc strategy support to other teams within ADNOC Distribution, as required.
Key Accountabilities Operational Plans and Budgets
- Develop consistent and realistic long and short term operational plans for the Department.
- Develop and manage the Department annual budget.
- Monitor expenditure against approved Department budget on a regular basis.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Finance or any other relevant discipline.
- 8 years of experience across various functions in Oil and Gas Retailer including Strategy, Corporate Planning, Retail etc.
- Experience of developing strategic plans, financial models for service based industry.
