SOFTWARE TESTER

Role overview

Accountabilities

• Support software verification and validation across new digital solutions, existing applications, and operational systems.
• Participate in test planning, scenario development, execution, reporting, and release validation.
• Create, execute, maintain, and update test cases and scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and release testing before production deployment.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects for investigation and resolution.
• Retest resolved defects and verify fixes before closing issues.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, business stakeholders, and QA professionals to investigate problems.
• Work within Agile and DevOps processes and contribute to continuous testing and quality improvement.
• Use enterprise QA tools to manage testing, support automation where appropriate, and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, defects, and quality concerns to technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a similar QA role.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA principles, and software verification and validation.
• Experience working within Agile and/or DevOps environments.
• Experience testing applications in complex enterprise technology environments.
• Hands-on experience creating, executing, maintaining, and documenting test cases and scenarios.
• Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, retesting, and closing software defects.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and a methodical approach to quality risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical collaboration.
• Experience using enterprise QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, Selenium, BrowserStack, REST Assured, and JMeter.
• Ability to manage multiple testing activities, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to reliable, high-quality software.
