Role Overview
The Site Engineer oversees landscape works on-site from soft and hard landscaping through irrigation systems.
The role ensures construction follows approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise hardscaping such as paving, kerbs, pergolas, and water features.
- Supervise softscaping such as planting, turfing, and soil preparation.
- Review landscape drawings, shop drawings, and specifications and resolve site queries.
- Plan and monitor progress, report delays, and propose recovery measures.
- Coordinate irrigation installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Inspect landscape materials and ensure they meet approved specifications.
- Supervise subcontractors and labor teams and allocate resources.
- Conduct quality inspections and close snags or NCRs.
- Ensure HSE and site safety compliance.
- Maintain site records, progress photographs, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with MEP, civil, and other trade teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Horticulture, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant site-engineering experience in landscape, softscape, or hardscape projects.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of landscape construction methods, regional plant species, irrigation design, and hardscape material specifications.
